Mum Stacey Brady and her five-month-old son Matthew in their Limavady home.
A SINGLE mum, who this year has faced arson and burglary, has said she is determined to leave Limavady as it has become too dangerous a place to live.
Stacey Brady, mother of five-month-old Matthew, had a number of valuables including Christmas presents for her baby, stolen from her home in a robbery on Monday (Nov 17).
Ms Brady was out shopping with her mother and her infant son between 2.30pm and 8.30pm when the incident at her Mullagh Place home occurred.
Earlier this year, when Ms Brady was living with her mother in Anderson Park, the family were burnt out of their home during the spate of arson attacks in the town.
The distraught 22-year-old said: "I had been at University in Liverpool and came home to have the support of my family, but Limavady has become such a rough and dangerous place that I am intending to move back to Liverpool to make a fresh start for myself and my son.
“I am too scared to go on living in my house in Mullagh Place, I'm terrified these thieves will come back and I can't take that sort of risk when I have my baby son to consider."
Ms Brady spoke of her shock at returning home to find her home had been burgled.
She went on: "When we got back to the house on Monday the first thing I noticed was that the TV was gone.
“I said to my mum that someone must have been in the house so we phoned the police immediately and they arrived within five minutes.
