Live Crib event to make welcome return to Dungiven thumbnailThe Three Wise men with Joseph, Mary and Shepherds watch over the baby Jesus at the Live Crib staged in Dungiven last year.

LAST year's hugely successful Live Crib event in Dungiven is to make a welcome return this year after the local community pulled together in 2015 to make sure the event went ahead. Last year, the organisers of the event, Project Fusion had posted on Facebook that the Live Crib would not take place due to lack of volunteers but within a day, they were inundated with offers of support and pleas to keep the event going for another year. This was especially fitting as community and Christian faith was the message of their event last year.
The Live Crib in December 2015 was a huge success. It featured local families, clubs and organisations recreating the nativity scene, including live animals and young babies in the manger in the role of Baby Jesus. There was live music from local musicians and schools, choirs representing the different churches in the town and a Signed Choir from 'Hands that Talk'.
