'CHRISTMAS is coming and the goose is getting fat' is a line in a well known Christmas poem and although the festive season, for most people, is a joyous occasion filled with family get-togethers and work parties, it is also is a time of over-indulgence.
So it isn't any wonder many people will already be thinking about their New Year Resolutions and how to beat that winter bulge?
This New Year, a Limavady gym is motivating local people to become part of an inspiring fitness challenge which will help them aspire to a healthier lifestyle and achieve their personal fitness goals, all whilst supporting a very worthy cause.
CrossFit Limavady has teamed up with Cancer Focus Northern Ireland (NI) to bring the Fitness Factor, an innovative fitness challenge to Limavady.
Led by local men Andy Chapman and Michael Walsh, this six week challenge will encourage 20 men and women to change their lifestyle through a series of fitness classes and healthy eating plans.
The overall aim of the programme is to help participants get fit, reduce the risk of certain cancers and support the work of Cancer Focus NI.
Starting on Wednesday January 4, participants will meet the team at Limavady CrossFit during programme induction.
