Ivor lifts CrossFit crown thumbnailIvor Neill, a Sports lecturer at the Limavady campus of North West Regional College, has been named by Crossfit as Ireland's ‘Fittest Man Over 60’.

A lecturer in Sport at the North West Regional College (NWRC) Limavady has been crowned the Fittest Man Over 60 in Ireland!
Ivor Neill, 60, was one of 157,000 people from all over the world who took part in a global CrossFit event last year.
Participants in the challenge had to complete five workouts, five times a week, under the supervision of a CrossFit coach.
After scoring in the top 20 in his age group, Ivor was then invited to the regional finals where he was reassessed and officially crowned as Ireland's fittest 'CrossFitter' over the age of 60.
The Sports lecturer is now using his award to inspire students on the BTEC Diploma in Sports Development, Coaching and Fitness at NWRC, to get active.
“CrossFit is quite unique," said Ivor. "It tests skills across a range of sporting activities.
“You have to be good at everything including lifting weights, gymnastics, running, cycling and all cardiovascular activities."
