A SPACE mad Limavady boy who didn't speak a word until he was three is now blasting autism awareness into the stratosphere.
Hayden Geraghty struggled with his communication and concentration from an early age but his love for all things 'out of this world' encouraged him to begin expressing himself.
The moment seven year-old Hayden watched Major Tim Peake make history by becoming Britain's first official astronaut in December 2015, he began shouting along with the countdown as Major Tim's rocket prepared to hit the skies.
Having since been diagnosed with autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), the energetic Hayden hasn't looked back since helping Major Tim count down to blast off.
Hayden's mum Caroline is urging parents of autistic kids to encourage and raise awareness of the condition, and to never give lose hope on their children's development.
