Bradley hits late equaliser for Slaughtneil thumbnailSwatragh’s Liam Kearney tries to escape this challenge from Dungiven’s Ciaran Mackle

IMPROVING Kilrea were denied both points due to a late Paul Bradley free in a very open game at Slaughtneil. With county players missing from either team, it was probably a good result for both.
The game saw the seasonal debut of two of the home team's most experienced players, Patsy and Paul Bradley playing first game since the All Ireland club final defeat to Dr Croke's on St. Patrick's Day at Croke Park.
It was a game both sides could have won with Mickey Moran's men leading by seven points at the start of the second-half before going four points in arrears with four minutes to play. The sides were level (0-3 each) after nine minutes, Larry Kielt (2) and Benny Quigg from frees for the visitors. The more cohesive home side registered scored from Barry McGuigan, Sean Cassidy and Ronan Bradley. Sé McGuigan was a perfect outline, with Slaughtneil occasionally breaking from their patient game, with Paul Bradley threading the passes.
