‘Our family life is now hell’ thumbnail

AN angry Limavady grandfather, whose family home he claims has been left without safe, clean water has described their home life as "now hell."
William Stewart, who lives in the house he built 23 years ago on the Keady Lane, has placed the blame on a nearby quarry blast damaging his water supply, which now means he has to travel to wash in friends' houses and drink bottled water.
A spokesperson representing the quarry stated that potential hydrological and hydrogeological impacts associated with the Keady Quarry development were reviewed in April 2017 and found that quarrying is not expected to impact on groundwater levels.
Mr Stewart lives with his wife Rachelle, daughter Ashley, son Trevor and his partner, who have just had a baby two weeks ago, and must obtain water for the baby from a mains supply by visiting relatives with containers.
