All the fun of the Fleadh! thumbnail

THIS weekend, May 25-May 28, Limavady will play host for the first time ever, to the County Derry Fleadh and the celebration of traditional Irish music and culture was officially launched in Granny Annie's on Thursday night.
This weekend, St Mary's High School will play host to a plethora of music and dancing competitions on Friday and Saturday while the streets will be filled with music during the course of the weekend as local Trad groups showcase their skills.
The event will culminate in a fantastic traditional concert which will take place on Saturday May 27 at Frank Owens' Marquee. Tickets for the event are priced at 10 and are available from any of the Fleadh Committee members.
Fleadh Committee Chairman, Adrian Devine said: "Not only is this an historic first for the market town of Limavady to host the Fleadh Cheoil Dhoire but it is also a tribute to the memory of Jimmy O'Hara, a renowned local traditional musician and a true gentleman. The Jimmy O'Hara CCE Roe Valley branch was formed in his honour."
