THE fund-raising work of Limavady's Texas Kickers was celebrated this week as the linedancing group marked its 20th anniversary.
Members of the dance troupe were invited to a special reception by the deputy Mayor, Cllr James McCorkell in the mayor's parlour and the team also held a celebratory event at its Drummond Cricket Club base.
Also attending the event was Alderman Alan Robinson who said: "The Texas Kickers have served the town and the community well, raising a mountain of money for good causes along the way and we wish them many more years of representing this area.
“I told them what I say to all our volunteers representing our town - Volunteers are not paid, not because they are worthless but because they are priceless."
