Jobs a good ‘un at Stendhal Festival thumbnailStendhal Festival Directors Ross Parkhill and John Cartwright welcome Kathryn McShane and Helena Semple to paid employment at the multi-award winning music event.

WHEN the organisers of Stendhal Festival first pitched the idea of a music and arts festival in Limavady, one of the key goals they set was to make the festival sustainable enough to create jobs.
By their own admission, it has taken organisers Ross Parkhill and John Cartwright a little bit longer than they would have preferred, but for the first time since its inception in 2011, Stendhal Festival has a paid working staff.
This has been made possible thanks to partnerships between Stendhal Festival, Cultural and Creative Skills and Help Musicians NI as the organisations have come together to allow Stendhal to hire two full time interns.
“It has been a long road to finally being able to say that we have created jobs in Limavady, but we are here," said Ross Parkhill.
