THE campaign to raise awareness of the proposed pig farm just outside Limavady stepped up a notch with a number of public meetings being held throughout the Roe Valley.
The Drummond Hotel, Ballykelly and the Vale Centre, Greysteel hosted the public meetings last Wednesday and Thursday night respectively and discussed the impact a proposed super-sized pig farm would have on the local area.
As interest in the proposal grows, local politicians who attended the meetings have been sharing their views on the issue.
The SDLP's East Derry MLA, John Dallat has issued a rallying call for the community to support the objectors: "I would ask every community across the Limavady area to continue to support the objectors and offer whatever help they can.
