THIS Friday (October 27) Limavady Community Development Initiative (LCDI) will proudly take the community lead on Limavady's first ever Good Relations Lantern Parade involving hundreds of local kids.
The haunting parade will celebrate the end of lantern making workshops which LCDI, supported by the Good Relations Team in the Causeway Coast and Glens Council, have been running throughout the month.
Almost all of the local schools and community organisations have been involved and will walk through the town for the spooky showcase.
Drumachose PS, The Central PS, Termoncanice PS, Roe Valley Integrated PS, St Aidan's PS Magilligan PS, Gaelscoil Léim an Mhadaidh, Roe Valley Residents, Roe Valley Play-school, Roe Valley after-schools have all contributed to the LCDI project.
Laura McGillian from LCDI told the Northern Constitution: "We are hoping for a really great turn out. We aim to build on this first year and make it bigger and better for the following years.
