Ready to rock! thumbnailRosalie played by Emma Louise in the Limavady High School production of ‘School of Rock’.

LIMAVADY High School has been bustling with activity this month as pupils head towards their final rehearsals of this year's school play, the iconic 'School of Rock'. Set to be performed on December 7 and December 8, this is an exciting time for the many pupils involved, both on and off stage, who are delighted to yet again be part of such a rewarding opportunity following the booming success of many past performances.
Not only were pupils and staff delighted by the decision to take on the bold and hilarious stage production of 'School of Rock', but director Mrs Hylands was especially glad to note that no other schools in the country are performing it this year.
Mrs Hylands jumped at the chance when acclaimed writer Andrew Lloyd Webber released this previously unobtainable script for free, otherwise it would have cost thousands of pounds.
She said: "We jumped at the chance, we were overwhelmed by the number of pupils wanting to take part and blown away by their talent."
But it isn't just the exclusive rights to the script and score that have resulted in shockwaves of energy and excitement around the school over the past few months.
