AFTER a week of inactivity, the Limavady players were glad to be back on the pitch on Saturday to welcome visitors Omagh 2nds in a Conference League match at the John Hunter Memorial Grounds.
Their last game was away to Larne proved to be a drab affair and the players were keen to make amends for this.
A couple of tactical changes were made by Coach Mark Nicholl with Peter Wilson in his preferred role at scrum half and Matthew Haslett available at full back.
Whilst the players were up for this game, the first piece of action was not as planned. Omagh's winger showed a good turn of pace and broke free out of defence. He was tackled, however managed to recycle the ball and this finished with Omagh scoring in the corner. The conversion was missed and this served to warn Limavady that full concentration was going to be needed.
