Survey praises unique atmosphere thumbnailLimavady town centre is among the friendliest in the borough, it was revealed this week.

LIMAVADY town centre is among the friendliest in the borough, according to a survey commissioned by the council. And the town's unique atmosphere and cafes also scored highly among both the public and traders, along with its popular pedestrian area.
On Wednesday, (December 20) the council's planning committee backed a recommendation to include the report's findings in the Local Development Plan preparations to assist in determining planning applications.
The survey was conducted earlier this year as part of an evaluation of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council's retail and leisure offer.
The town centre reports were compiled on the borough's six biggest settlements - Limavady, Ballycastle, Ballymoney, Coleraine, Portrush and Portstewart.
When members of the public and businesses were questioned on positive aspects of the town centre, Limavady came second in the friendliness table, closely behind Ballycastle, with Portstewart third and Coleraine faring worst.
