THE Caravan Destruction Derby was the highlight of a cold and wet Boxing Day meeting at Aghadowey Oval, the seasonal weather attracting a big crowd for an afternoon of spectacular festive racing. Coagh supremo Dessie Dallas was the master of the Caravan Destruction Derby, with Derek McMillan coming out on top in the competitive Stock Rods division whilst, in the other feature races, there were wins for Norman Purdy (Thunder Rods), Matthew Weir (Ninja Karts), Aaron Ward (Junior Productions) and William Donnell (ProStocks) at the Autoworx of Ballymoney sponsored meeting.
Caravan Destruction Derby
A field of ten cars and caravans took to the grid to battle it out for the annual Boxing Day Caravan Derby. Among their ranks were former National Hot Rod World Champion Adam Maxwell and Saloon Stock Car star Kieran McIvor.
