AFTER the week we've had weather-wise, the ground staff did excellent work to get this match on. Banbridge 2nds were the visitors in what was a 'double-header - the Towns Cup match and the final Conference League game.
The match started poorly for Limavady in that they lost their out half Jamie 'Mo' Millar to injury in only the third minute. This meant a bit of a reshuffle in the back line with the versatile Peter Wilson moving into the out-half position and Graham McAleese introduced at full back.
Within a minute, Peter made an excellent break and when faced with one defender to beat, he fed the ball inside to the ever-supporting Perry Semple to score under the posts. Conversion was good to give the home side the early lead.
Shortly after this, as a result of poor tackling, Banbridge were allowed to score and level proceedings.
