Residents voice support for Green Lane Museum thumbnailA proposal to close the Green Lane Museum at the Roe Valley Country Park has come before council members.

RESIDENTS in the Roe Valley have called for the Green Lane Museum to remain after a report, presented to members of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council last Tuesday night, proposed that the facility should be closed. The Northern Constitution asked its followers on Facebook whether the local tourist attraction, located within the Roe Valley Country Park, was worth saving and the resounding response was - yes! Adam McKay commented: "Yes it is worth keeping. I'm disgusted but not surprised by this," while Ryan George responded: "Doubt they'd close it if it was the other side of the mountain...."
Meanwhile, members of the public who donated artefacts to the museum were asking if they would receive their items back if the museum closed.
John King asked: "If they close it, is there a list of the donors, as I for one delivered an exhibit belonging to my late mother in law and I know for definite she would have wanted it returned if the museum was to close. And yes, we would want it returned."
