A DISABLED Limavady lady is calling on local shop workers across the borough to treat her "like an ordinary human being" as she believes she is being treated differently and overlooked because of her disability and age.
The elderly woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, approached The Northern Constitution exclusively last week to voice her anger at members of staff in some Limavady shops which she feels do not treat her equally due to her disability.
The lady, who has a disability and is registered blind, has hit out at certain shop workers locally who, she claimed, overlook her and bypass her if she is with an able bodied friend or relative.
Speaking on behalf of herself and other disabled friends and relatives in the town, the lady told The Northern Constitution that she feels she gets spoken down to and ignored if she asks for help and tries to buy items in local shops.
