SINN Féin MLA Caoimhe Archibald has said all sectors and individuals across the north need to make their views on the Brexit negotiations known.
Speaking after a day of engagement in East Derry with Martina Anderson MEP, the East Derry MLA commented: "It was apparent from the discussions that there is still uncertainty over the negotiation process and lack of awareness of what is contained within the draft Withdrawal Agreement in terms of the backstop measure.
"The EU have made it clear that the backstop position applies 'unless and until' another scenario of proposals from the British Government materialise to meet the conditions of negotiation, including protecting the Good Friday Agreement in all its parts.
"This is a recognition of the particular circumstance that pertain to the north and will ensure the north remains within the Customs Union.
