Limavady’s Chivers lined-up for Mayor thumbnailLimavady-based councillor Brenda Chivers will take up the Mayor’s post next week.

Causeway Coast and Glens Council will appoint a woman as Mayor for the fourth year in succession.
The Chronicle has learned Sinn Fein's Brenda Chivers has been selected by her party to assume the role when councillors meet for their annual general meeting next week.
It will mean a clean sweep of female Mayors since Causeway Coast and Glens Council was established in 2015 by the merger of Coleraine, Limavady, Ballymoney and Ballycastle.
“It's a great honour and I'm very proud to be the fourth woman Mayor," Mrs Chivers told the Chronicle on Monday.
