REPRESENTATIVES from Heathrow Airport made a flying visit to the former Shackleton Barracks site in Ballykelly, last week, on a reconnaissance mission as part of the airports planned 16 billion expansion.
MJM Renewables, part of MJM Group, who own the former Shackleton Barracks in Ballykelly welcomed the group from Heathrow to the 620 acre site, which is a potential location for a logistics hub to support the planned airport expansion.
The former Shackleton Barracks site is in the running for a role in the 16bn expansion of Heathrow Airport.
The sites will be used to pre-assemble components of an expanded Heathrow before transporting them in consolidated loads to the airport.
