A POWER-LIFTING competition has been set up in memory of the Limavady man Leslie Steele, who died last week, with all proceeds from the event going to his partner and their unborn child.
The event, to be staged on Sunday December 2 at Crossfit Limavady, has been set-up by a group of Leslie's old training partners and friends.
Andy Chapman, Co-Owner of the Crossfit gym, said Leslie helped him with his weight lifting so he wanted to do something to help Leslie's family.
He told the Northern Constitution: "There was a group of us who use to power-lift and Leslie and his brother Brian helped us out a lot.
“We have decided that we would like to help out his family to give back to him for all the things he done for us.
