LIMAVADY'S Samuel Montgomery won the Thunder Rods Irish Championship on Friday night at Aghadowey.
Samuel, has been racing for around ten years and this season has by far been his best to date.
He has won not only the points championship but also the the King of Aghadowey title.
Winning the Irish Championship on Friday night gives him a remarkable hat-trick of titles in a race in which he had to make three brilliant starts.
As his wife Louise is now expecting the couple's first child it would seem that three definitely is Samuel's favourite number.
Immediately after the race delighted and relieved Samuel said: "That was brilliant but those restarts were a bit nerve-wracking.
Stewart Hanna - Ninja Karts
Stewart - the Ninja Karts Irish champion - was in action at Tullyroan on Saturday for the 2016 Stars of Tomorrow Challenge.
The young Ballykelly based charger has been in excellent form but, unfortunately, got spun out of the day's opening heat but went on to win the evening's second heat, confirming his undoubted pace.
The results from the heats gave row three grid position for the Stars of Tomorrow Challenge but he struggled in the early stages as he had got engine coolant on tyres from an earlier bangers race.
