LIMAVADY United suffered their first league defeat of the season after a second half capitulation against high flying Banbridge Town.
The home side should have been out of sight in the first and were denied an obvious penalty too but overall, Town were good value for the win. Joe McCready had given the Roesiders an early lead but Kevin Anderson, Stephen Acheson and Ryan Moffett all found the net for the visitors.
In the 3rd minute, the hosts took the lead when McCready latched onto a loose ball to lash the ball past Tuda Murphy. Paul Owens went close in the 15th minute, seeing a well struck effort tipped wide by that man Murphy.
Limavady continued to press forward with McCready once again latching onto a through ball but he fired well over the bar.
With 33 minute gone, they were denied a stonewall penalty; that man McCready was clearly fouled by Acheson but referee Gavin Taggart failed to award the spot kick.
Just before the interval, the visitors had an effort from James Wilson but his effort was saved by Paul Wells. Town levelled things up in the 52nd minute when Anderson found the far corner after a ball hadn't been properly cleared.
United almost grabbed the lead again ten minutes later but Connor McCloskey's effort flew inches over Murphy's bar. In the 72nd minute, Banbridge took the lead when Moffett's free-kick was headed home by Acheson.
Some two minute later, they had added a third, this time it was Moffett himself who applied the coup de grais.
