United come from behind to clinch win thumbnailLimavady United striker Robbie Hume making it difficult for the Wakehurst defender on Saturday.

Limavady United...............2 Wakehurst..............1

LIMAVADY United rode their luck to come from behind with two late goals to overcome a plucky Wakehurst side and progress in the Intermediate Cup. The visitors, however, deserved much more from this game, dominating for over an hour before an increasingly frustrated and ineffective home side were given a way back into the game by McFadden's pile driver on 75 minutes. From the outset, Wakehurst took the game to United and pinned United back in their def naive third. On nine minutes, Millar crossed from deep left to Barr at the back post but the striker hit the side netting. United's response was an 18th minute Murray effort that went wide. There was, however, an uncharacteristic sluggishness throughout the Roesiders with the visitors first to every ball.
The opening goal deservedly went to Wakehurst on 20 minutes after some poor defending by the home side.
When yet another Wakehurst corner was not cleared properly, the ball fell to the unmarked Nixon just outside the six yard box and he had so much time and space to hook the ball high into the net. The lead was no more than they deserved and, but for a deflection seven minutes later, they would have doubled their lead.
