ALMOST 20 Limavady CrossFit enthusiasts took on the ultimate challenge when they recently completed a 24-hour 'AMRAP.'
The 24-hour AMRAP challenge is a world-wide event in which teams complete a minimum of 500 reps of three movements, announced every hour, on the hour, for 24 hours. Live video footage is streamed to judges at the competition base in Holland.
They are a full range of movements from simple bodyweight exercises like squats to skilled gymnastic and weightlifting movements like handstand walks and snatch. If a team fails to complete the 500 reps inside the hour, they are eliminated.
