Team work thumbnailBryan McClelland looks on as his Limavady United team mates, joined by footballers from several other teams in the Limavady area, came together to play a series of games for their colleague who broke his leg just over a month ago.

THE management and members of Limavady United FC recently held a successful two day fundraising event in aid of injured key player, Bryan McClelland. Back in early February, Bryan suffered a broken leg during a home game against Dundela. Some 38 minutes into the game, Bryan went over to the left touch line to sweep up a loose ball but as he came away, a Dundela player dived in for the loose ball and there was a sickening collision which could be heard all around the ground.
The seriousness of the injury was immediately obvious and the game was abandoned for over half an hour as the unfortunate player was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Since then, Bryan has been unable to work or play. Player manager Paul Owens initiated two fundraising events in offer of support to their long serving team mate.
