A YOUNG Limavady darts enthusiast has shot his way to compete with the world's best after winning the Northern Ireland Masters.
At 11 years-old, Travis Baur became the youngest competitor, and now winner, of the Northern Irish Youth Darts Masters, in The Marine Court Hotel, Bangor on Saturday April 8.
The Year 8 St Mary's pupil has been playing darts since he was six years old and got his love of the arrows from his darts mad dad Paul Brown.
After winning the NI youth competition, Travis will now travel to Bridlington in September, hoping to hit the bullseye and become a world champion at his level.
Competing against 15 other players up to seven years older than him, Travis won the Under 18 event and was the youngest competitor there.
Confident Travis even come from 2-0 down in the final to come back and win 4-2.
Speaking to The Northern Constitution, Travis said: "It was brilliant. I wasn't really scared at all, I was pretty confident. Well, except for when I got to the final which was on the main stage in front of everyone. That's when I got a bit nervous.
