Cup kicks off in memory of Trevor thumbnail

THE annual Trevor O'Neill Memorial Cup kicks off at the end of the month as excitement builds for the 29th year of the competition.
The popular summer football competition rolls into action on May 22, and is played in memory of Trevor O'Neill who tragically died at the young age of 22.
Trevor was a very popular young man who was well known throughout Limavady and beyond and the competition has grown from strength to strength with teams travelling from all parts of the country to participate.
The competition will be hosting 16 teams this year and organisers believe this is the strongest line up ever, with last year's winner Dromore aiming to be the first team to win the cup for the third consecutive year.
Dromore will start off favourites but with the likes of Seven Towers, Aghanloo United and last year's beaten finalist Broadway United, it will be difficult to conclude who will have their name on the cup this year.
