KNOCKBREDA showed Limavady United how to grind out a win in the Bluefin Championship on Saturday, coming from behind to claim the points with a late winner. This was possibly United's most significant game to date, as for the first time they were close to fielding their strongest side for the first time this season, with the first choice back four, and captain Carlin back in the midfield to bolster what had been the problem area in previous weeks.
The home side kicked off with breeze behind them, and had the first chance with Murray wasting a seventh minute opportunity to score, shooting over when he should have passed to a team mate who was better placed.
United hit back three minutes later from a corner, as Crown headed Hume's corner back across the box for Devlin, whose acrobatic overhead kick flashed over the bar.
Five minutes later, Devlin's deep cross evaded the home defence, but was just too far for Carlin rushing into the six yard box.
United had taken time to adjust to the home side's tactics, but now had their best spell of the game, moving the ball about well, but not really creating anything in the final third.
