McHugh goals the key to Kevin Lynch’s victory thumbnailKevin Lynch’s captain Ruairi Rafferty lifts the cup after his team defeated Swatragh in the Derry Minor hurling final.

Kevin Lynch's.............2-11 Swatragh............0-12

KEVIN Lynch's retained their County Minor title with a repeat of last year's win over Swatragh at a windy Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon. Richie Mullan was the man pulling the strings and it was Tiernan McHugh finishing with two goals against a highly rated Swatragh team. Mullan was one of the star men with Derry Minors earlier in the season.
Eoin O'Kane hit the three opening scores for Swatragh as they started well in the tricky conditions. Lynch's finally registered a score in the seventh minute from Richie Mullan to settle them and by the 13th minute, he added a second point.
Kevin Lynch's struck for goal in the 20th minute when Richie Mullan's pass was finished to the net by the tall Tiarnan McHugh and the sides went in level (0-9 to 1-6 at half-time).
