Sport starts set to shine thumbnailMichelle Friel, who was awarded the Services to Sport award by Jason Smyth at the Limavady Sports Council awards dinner, is now in the running for an award at the Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council gala sporting event this Friday.

TALENTED athletes from across the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council area are set to be honoured at a gala event in The Lodge Hotel, Coleraine this Friday. Council will host its annual Gala Sports awards on Friday evening, November 3 when sporting heroes from across the Roe Valley will challenge individuals and teams from the other legacy council areas for the 14 awards which will be on offer.
Roe Valley individuals and teams in the running for awards on the night include Michelle Friel (Services to Sport); Paige Heath (Senior Female of the Year); Paul Owens (Senior Male of the Year); Thomas Moore (Administrator of the Year) and Rachel Kealey and John O'Neill (Coaching).
Compere Sarah Travers will oversee proceedings which will recognise individuals, teams, clubs and administrators who contribute so much to sporting life across the area.
