DON'T be fooled by the score line of Saturday's match at Rathmore Road-the only game in the Championship to survive the weather, thanks to the early morning efforts of volunteers in clearing the pitch of snow.
The brutal truth is that United were comprehensively defeated on Saturday, and only a Robbie Hume hat trick provided a semblance of respectability on a day which saw United's worst defeat for four years, and their poorest performance under Paul Owens' management.
The lack of depth in United's squad was ruthlessly exposed as Ryan Logue failed a fitness test just before kick-off, meaning there was only one substitute on the
bench, and the side had a distinctly youthful look.
But the Roesiders- who began with a 3-5-2 formation- were confident of improving on last week's narrow defeat to the leaders, and they were gifted a goal inside three minutes, when Bradley's misdirected shot skidded across the box, and Flood got into a mix up with a covering defender, spilling the ball into Hume's path for a simple tap in.
