Limavady 1st XV unlucky against Ards thumbnailLimavady 1st XV player Roddy pops the ball out to a team mate against Ards on Saturday.

Limavady.............16 Ards............17

AFTER the inclement weather and considerable rainfall that we've had over the last few days, it was down to good work by the Limavady ground staff that this game was able to be played. Visitors this week were Ards, a team who, over the past few weeks, have strung together a few good results to raise them to mid table at the half way stage of the season.
The same cannot be said for Limavady who languish in the bottom three. So this game probably meant more to Limavady than Ards.
The game proved to be two well matched teams vying against each other, so much so that the half time score reflected a soccer score line than a rugby one, as a result of Peter Wilson and Paul Cox exchanging penalties for their respective sides. Half Time 3-3.
The second half started off much the same as the first with Limavady getting an early penalty which Peter Wilson again slotted home.
