Best performance of the season for Limavady 1st XV thumbnailLimavady 1st XV player Jamie Millar kicks during the match against Ballymoney on Saturday.

Limavady.............32 Ballymoney.............15

HAVING lost the two previous matches against Ballymoney, Limavady were keen to reverse the trend. For the first time this season, Mark Nicholl was able to select his first choice squad and this was reflected in the best performance of the season to date.
The first points on the board however came from a penalty awarded to Ballymoney for Limavady players crossing in the midfield. The rest of the half was then dominated by a lively performance from Limavady with three tries reflecting their superiority.
During this spell, Clive Scott was particularly to the fore with some fine carries and aggressive defence.
Limavady's first try was scored by Daniel Irvine when he managed to get over the line in the corner. This gave Limavady the advantage and they scored again when Ballymoney kicked upfield to clear their lines. The ball was fielded by Peter Wilson at full back who counter attacked and following two passes, the ball fell into the hands of Matthew Haslett who crossed for try number two.
