Vital home win for Limavady thumbnailLimavady 1st XV captain Peter Wilson in possession of the ball against Larne on Saturday.

Limavady.............15 Larne.............13

LIMAVADY'S visitors this week were Larne, a team who always give Limavady a close match, and this was to be no different. How nice it was this week to win a game in the last minute instead of losing as has been Limavady's downfall in the first half of the season.
Larne started the better and for the first 20 minutes, Limavady struggled to get into their half. In this period, Larne only managed one try though, scored by their wing in the corner.
Midway through the half, Limavady began to get a bit more possession and managed to draw level through their second row, Colin Henry, scoring his first try of the season, following good work by Sam Mackey.
The conversion was missed and with no further scoring and the half time score rested at 5-5.
Turning around for the second half, Limavady had quite a stiffish breeze in their favour but for some reason, did not make full use of this advantage, choosing rather to keep the ball in the hands rather than kicking down field for positional dominance.
