Concentration lapse leads to Larne defeat over Limavady

SOMETIMES you just have to accept it when you are beaten by a better side.
That didn't happen on Saturday. Limavady went toe-to-toe with the much vaunted Larne team and were only undone by two lapses in concentration. It was harsh on the visitors who produced another performance of no little skill and character with every player producing a performance of discipline. However, when United fell behind in only the third minute, the signs looked ominous against a side that had scored eight the week before.
It was also a particularly poor goal to concede, as a corner was swung in to the centre of the six yard box for the completely unmarked McEleney to head in unchallenged.
Surprisingly, this seemed to affect the hosts more as it was United who then produced a couple of attacking moves of quality in quick succession without actually stretching Devlin.
McCready was clearly relishing the chance to showcase his dribbling skills and on ten minutes, he hoisted a great pass to Logue and the back post, but he volleyed over.
