NEW Masters champion Mark Allen was in Limavady last week to officially open the new home of the '3C's' Cross Community Snooker Club.
The '3C's' is a non-political, non-religious and non-sectarian club. The club is a non-profit making, charitable organisation and any money that is made over and above the running costs, go towards improving the club facilities and organising events.
The Club Chairman and MC for the special event, held on February 12, was Mr Ivor Jamison, who extended a warm welcome to everyone in attendance. Then it was over to snooker champion Mark to break off in the first frame against one of the club's founder members, Tommy Wilson, and officially open the new club's premises.
Some seven members of the club also got the chance to pit their wits against Mark who had brought along his latest trophy for fans to view.
The night proved to be a roaring success and was well attended by local snooker fans, eager to check out the new facilities and see the new champion in action.
During the course of the evening, Mark interacted with the audience, signing autographs and posing for photos.
