NEMO RANGERS......................2-19 SLAUGHTNEIL...........................1-14

CORK champions Nemo Rangers are through to the All-Ireland club Senior Football Championship final following an extra-time win over Slaughtneil in slippery O'Moore Park Portlaoise on Saturday afternoon. In a gripping contest, it took extra time to finally separate them as Nemo recovered from a sluggish first half to set up a St Patrick's Day final against Corofin who beat Slaughtneil in the final three years ago.
More than half the Slaughtneil team played in the All-Ireland Club Senior Hurling Championship semi-final two weeks ago against Na Piarsigh and while it was heartbreak on that occasion, they dusted themselves and went again.
After four non-stop seasons it looked as if the exertions finally had caught up with Mickey Moran's well drilled team. For long portions of the game they were the superior unit but it was not translated on the score board.
