Peter is the Last Man Standing thumbnailPeter Cromie who ran 147 miles and won the Last Man Standing in Castleward last month.

A LIMAVADY runner who ran an incredible 147 miles has become the 'Last Man Standing' at an endurance race in Castleward, last month. Peter Cromie, a long time member of Springwell Running Club, came into this race determined to take the win after not winning the race in the previous year.
Last year, after running 151 miles he and another runner came to a gentleman's agreement to finish at the same time meaning the race organisers could not name a winner.
Peter told the Northern Constitution: "After what happened last year I was determined to take home the win. It would have taken a shotgun or a bazooka to stop me.
“Between mile 60 - 90 the running wasn't much fun to be honest. I had to just go through the barrier a couple of times, the worst part of the over 100 mile races is always running in the dark.
