Easter Five Formula Feast! thumbnailNational Hot Rod NI ponts leader Adam Hylands will be contesting Round 9 of the World Qualifying series in his new look car at Aghadowey on Easter Monday.

WITH the long winter break finally over, oval racing resumes at the Aghadowey Oval on Easter Monday as drivers, their teams and race fans look forward to seeing the start of the 2018 racing season, and what a start it promises to be, with a fantastic feast of champions, and championships served up in the five formula programme.
Topping the bill is round 9 of the NI Hankook Performance Tyres World Series for the National Hot Rods, as the drivers now into the second half of the prestigious championship all aiming for a place for the showpiece World Final at Ipswich in July.
Adam Hylands currently leads the standings, in his tigra, with the winter rebuild over and a slightly new colour scheme for this year he will be keen to remain top of the points charts.
Derek Martin and British Champion John Christie will be seeking to take advantage of any slip up from Adam, Dereks car sporting a completley new look after the winter break, whilst John's car is yet to emerge from the garage as every minute is being spent to ready the trusty Fiesta for another season.
Slightly further adrift in the points is current NI Champion Shane Murray whilst former World Champion Glenn Bell who finished 2017 as the man on form with wins at the final rounds of last year will be looking to continue that pace and heap pressure on his on-track rivals.
